Presentation of the Association:
To preserve the memory of Lina, her work, and the various causes she tirelessly fought for, Lina’s family and friends have come together to create the Lina Ben Mhenni Association, in the weeks following her passing. It is a non-profit, independent organization that operates throughout Tunisia.
The association aims to:
- Document and archive Lina Ben Mhenni’s work in the many fields in which she was engaged: politics, journalism, sports and health, as well as culture and society.
- Honor Lina and continue her struggles and actions by relying on her various resources and encouraging initiatives aimed at promoting the universal principles of Freedom and Equality.
We are an independent, equal and inclusive association for everyone and we fight against all forms of discrimination. We focus our work on Tunisia while trying to have collaborations and partnerships in the region. We carry on with all the struggles of Lina ben Mhenni and of all her comrades and friends on the political, social, health, cultural levels, for the defense of human rights and gender and to establish as an unconditional right freedom of press and freedom of expression.
